MAKE SMTHNG week

In the autumn of 2017 we were asked by Greenpeace stage something for their MAKE SMTHNG Week. We decided to unite innovators and designers fusing fashion and technology to create the next generation of textiles. Together we imagined a future where clothing is smart and connected, where manufacturing methods have been updated for the 21st century, and where textiles are made from innovative and sustainable materials that can be easily recycled. This day of networking, practical workshops and talks in collaboration with the University of Brighton’s Green Growth Platform explored this potential future and the intersection between fashion, sustainability and technology. High profile speakers included Carol Rose and Qiulae Wong from Common Objective, Rachel Lasebikan from the WEAR Sustain project and Christina Tiran from the Sustainable Angle.
